At the request of the Maine State Police, speed limits on the Maine Turnpike from New Hampshire line (Mile 0) to Exit 53 in Falmouth have been reduced to 45 MPH due to snow. Please travel with caution and adjust your speed for conditions.
Additional Information
Over limit vehicles are prohibited while the speed is reduced.

At the request of the Maine State Police, speed limits on the Maine Turnpike from New Hampshire line (Mile 0) to the end of the Maine Turnpike at Mile 109 have been reduced to 45 MPH due to snow. Please travel with caution and adjust your speed for conditions.

Construction Projects

The Maine Turnpike Authority’s 2018 Capital Program includes $87.8 million* for construction projects,being bid including:
  • Resurfacing, Guardrail and Clearzone Improvements
  • Bridge Repair and Rehabilitation
  • Interchange Improvements
  • Cash Lane Toll Plaza Improvements and Conversions to Open Road Tolling
*$40 million is allocated for York Toll Plaza, a project funded in 2017 that had been on hold due to a pending lawsuit.
