Overnight Ramp Closures Scheduled at Multiple Turnpike Locations Starting July 20
PORTLAND, Maine – Maine Turnpike Authority (MTA) is advising motorists of a series of overnight ramp closures beginning Sunday, July 20, at various interchanges along the Turnpike. These closures are necessary to complete paving projects in Wells and the Portland area, and the ongoing construction of Exit 35 in Saco.
All work is weather dependent and schedules may shift. Motorists are urged to follow electronic signs on the highway and check MTA’s social media for updates.
Scheduled Ramp Closures
Sunday, July 20
- Exit 19 (Wells) – Southbound ON and OFF closed 10PM to 5AM
- Exit 47 (Portland) – Northbound ON closed 9PM to 5AM
Monday, July 21
- Exit 19 (Wells) – Southbound ON and OFF closed 10PM to 5AM
- Exit 36 (Saco) – Northbound ON and OFF closed 11PM to 5AM
- Exit 48 (Portland) – Northbound OFF closed 9PM to 5AM
Tuesday, July 22
- Exit 19 (Wells) – Rain date if needed for previous closures
- Exit 36 (Saco) – Southbound OFF closed 11PM to 5AM
- Exit 48 (Portland) – Northbound ON closed 9PM to 5AM
- Exit 53 (Falmouth) – Southbound OFF closed 9PM to 5AM
Wednesday, July 23
- Exit 53 (Falmouth) – Southbound ON closed 9PM to 5AM
Thursday, July 24
- Exit 52 (Falmouth) – Southbound OFF closed 9PM to 5AM
