Overnight ramp closures in the Portland Area

PORTLAND, Maine — Beginning Sunday, June 29, a series of overnight ramp closures from Exit 42 to Exit 48 northbound will take place in the Portland area for paving work. Closures will occur from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM, with multiple interchanges in the area, drivers are advised to seek alternate routes.

This work is part of a larger project to resurface the northbound lanes from Exit 42 in Scarborough to Exit 48 in Portland. Additional work includes ramp tie-ins, catch basin grade adjustments, and guardrail improvements. The contractor for this project is Coastal Road Repair.

• Sunday, 6/29 – Exit 42 NORTHBOUND OFF-ramp, Closing 9PM-5AM
• Monday, 6/30 – Exit 42 NORTHBOUND ON-ramp, Closing 9PM-5AM
• Mon. 7/14/25: Exit 46 NORTHBOUND off ramp, Closing 9PM-5AM
• Tue. 7/15/25 : Exit 46 NORTHBOUND off ramp, Closing 9PM-5AM
• Wed. 7/16/25: Exit 46 NORTHBOUND on ramp, Closing 9PM-5AM
• Thu. 7/17/25: Exit 47 NORTHBOUND off ramp, Closing 9PM-5AM
• Sun. 7/20/25: Exit 47 NORTHBOUND on ramp, Closing 9PM-5AM
• Mon. 7/21/25: Exit 48 NORTHBOUND off ramp, Closing 9PM-5AM
