Ralph Norwood serves as the Director of Highway and Equipment Maintenance for the Maine Turnpike Authority. He holds a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Maine and has been a dedicated member of the MTA team since 2012.
Ralph began his tenure at the Authority as a Project Manager. His leadership and expertise led to his promotion to Deputy Director of Highway and Equipment Maintenance, and in 2026 he was appointed Director of the department.
Before joining the MTA, Ralph spent 13 years with Gorrill Palmer, gaining extensive experience in engineering design, project management, and transportation infrastructure. He is an active member of the Maine Chapter of the American Public Works Association (APWA), where he has served as President. Ralph is a lifelong Mainer and lives in Gray, Maine.
