Overnight traffic stops scheduled for October 29 near Mile 45 on turnpike

Traffic entering at Exit 45 southbound to be held during stoppages needed for CMP pole relocation

SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine –  Motorists traveling on the Maine Turnpike Tuesday evening, October 29, 2019, between the hours of 10 PM and 5 AM, should be prepared for intermittent traffic stoppages in the vicinity of Mile 45 in South Portland. The stoppages will occur in both the northbound and southbound lanes near the Cummings Road overpass bridge.  The stoppages will be up to 20 minutes in duration.  Additionally, southbound traffic entering the turnpike at Exit 45 will be held during these traffic stops.  This work is required in order to relocate a Central Maine Power utility pole.
