Motorists traveling northbound on the Maine Turnpike are being advised of heavy traffic between New Hampshire Line (Mile 0) and York Toll. Please use caution and stay alert while traveling through this area. This message will be updated as conditions change.

Motorists traveling northbound from the New Hampshire state line to the York toll will encounter slow traffic and intermittent delays due to high traffic volume.

Hallowell Bridge Rehabilitation, Litchfield Road

Project Scope: This project consists of repairs to the Litchfield Road bridge that crosses over the Maine Turnpike at Mile 106.9 and concrete box culverts under the Turnpike mainline at Miles 96.6 and 106.94. The rehabilitation of the Litchfield Road bridge includes replacement and raising of the existing bridge superstructure to provide a minimum vertical clearance of 15'-6”, and repair of the existing abutments and piers. It also includes reconstruction of approximately 500 feet of the bridge approaches to match the raised bridge structure.

In addition, the contract will include culvert repairs at Potter’s Brook at Mile 96.6 and Vaughn Brook at Mile 106.94. The culvert repairs will include concrete repairs and rip rap placement at the culvert ends.
