At the request of the Maine State Police, speed limits on the Maine Turnpike from New Hampshire Line (Mile 0) to the end of the Maine Turnpike at Mile 109 have been reduced to 45 MPH due to snow. Motorists on the Turnpike are asked drive safely, and stay tuned to broadcasts on 1610 AM for the most up to date information. This message will be updated as conditions change.

Bridge Repairs: Hurricane Road, Falmouth

Project Scope: The work consists of improvements to Hurricane Road bridge over the Maine Turnpike and the Hurricane Road bridge over the Piscataqua River in the Town of Falmouth. The work includes new bridge wearing surfaces, deck repairs and raising the bridge to increase the under clearance over the Turnpike, concrete substructure repairs and approach work. It is anticipated that the Hurricane Road Bridges will be closed to traffic from the end of June through the end of October. Any necessary lane closures on the main line of the turnpike will be limited to off peak times.
