North On-Ramp from Falmouth Spur Closed - drivers are encouraged to plan alternate routes
This month, contractors will begin reconstruction of the bridge that carries the Maine Turnpike over the Presumpscot River in Falmouth. This bridge is immediately north of the Falmouth Spur (Exit 52). For the safety of workers and drivers, the northbound on-ramp from the Falmouth Spur will be closed approximately 12 months. All other ramps at Exit 52 will remain open. The northbound on-ramp will be closed in mid-July, with the exact date being announced and posted on roadside message boards as soon as it is finalized. Please begin planning an alternate route—and consider using any of the Turnpike exits south of the Falmouth Spur to access the Turnpike’s northbound lanes. |
