Traffic Pattern Changes to Force 5-Minute Traffic Stops

5-minute traffic stops at mile 32 northbound in Biddeford needed to set up lane closures

PORTLAND, Maine – Maine Turnpike motorists are advised to prepare for intermittent 5-minute traffic stops northbound at mile 32 in Biddeford this evening (Friday) starting at 9:00 p.m. through early Saturday morning, weather permitting. Multiple traffic stops are needed to install lane closures and to shift traffic patterns associated with the Saco River Bridge project, without jeopardizing motorist or worker safety.

Motorists should be prepared for trip delays or seek alternate routes.

The Maine Turnpike Authority appreciates motorists’ patience and understanding as we work to keep the Saco River Bridge safe and operational for years to come.
