Night Work to Close Falmouth Spur (Exit 52) Southbound Ramps

UPDATE:  Closure scheduled for 11/4 has been postponed until further notice

PORTLAND, Maine –  Monday, November 3, 2014 and Tuesday, November 4, 2014, the southbound on and off ramps of the Falmouth Spur (Exit 52) will be closed overnight for repairs.  The closures are scheduled to begin at 9:00 PM both nights.  The southbound on-ramp will be closed until 5:00 AM each morning.  The southbound off-ramp will  be closed through 6:30 AM Monday morning and 5:00 AM Tuesday morning, if necessary.  Ramps will be open to traffic during the day.  Northbound ramps will not be impacted and will remain open at all times.

The work is being completed at night in an effort to minimize traffic impact. The MTA advises drivers to allow additional time to reach their destination by alternate routes.  All work is weather dependent.

Motorists are encouraged to visit smartphone friendly MaineTurnpike.com for up-to-the-minute travel alerts or sign-up to receive them by e-mail.
