Geotechnical work at Mile 8.8 in York to begin Thursday (1/14)
PORTLAND, Maine – Beginning Thursday, January 14, 2016, drilling and excavation crews will be performing work on property owned by the Maine Turnpike Authority located at Mile 8.8. This geotechnical work is being done for the purpose of allowing more detailed design of an Open Road Tolling (ORT) plaza at Mile 8.8. Work will occur between the hours of 7:00 AM and 3:30 PM starting on Thursday, January 14, 2016 and is expected to take place for several days. Lane closures and shoulder closures are anticipated during this time. Please use caution when approaching this area. The Maine Turnpike Authority appreciates motorists’ patience and understanding during this work.
