Exit 42 Northbound Off Ramp Will Be Closed For Morning Commute (10/29)
PORTLAND, Maine – On Monday morning, October 29, the northbound off ramp of the Exit 42 Interchange will be closed for milling and paving. The closure will begin at 5:00 a.m. on Monday and will last through 2:30 p.m. that day. Additional closures may be scheduled, however all are weather permitting.
Motorists should prepare alternate travel routes during the closures. Message boards will be in place to inform approaching travelers of closures, and Highway Advisory Radio (HAR) broadcasts on 1610 AM will also be used to inform drivers. For updated information travelers can visit MaineTurnpike.com and click on the link for “Weekly Construction Advisories”. The Maine Turnpike Authority appreciates motorists’ patience and understanding during this construction.
The $2.6 million project, awarded to Lane Construction of Westbrook, began in July 2012 and includes interchange ramp and pavement rehabilitation at Exit 42 in Scarborough as well as pavement rehabilitation at Exit 45 in South Portland.
