Emergency Ramp Closure Today at Exit 80 in Lewiston

Southbound off-ramp will be closed for approximately 2 hours beginning around 1 P.M.

PORTLAND, Maine –  Beginning at approximately 1:00 P.M. today, the southbound off-ramp at Exit 80 in Lewiston on the Maine Turnpike will be closed for the replacement of concrete barrier.  The barrier was damaged due to a tractor trailer accident that occurred yesterday evening.  The ramp closure is expected to last for approximately two hours.  Vehicles wishing to exit the Turnpike in Lewiston should use Exit 75 in Auburn or Exit 86 in Sabattus as alternate routes during the ramp closure.  All other ramps will be open.

Message boards will be in place to inform approaching travelers of the closure, and Highway Advisory Radio (HAR) broadcasts on 1610 AM will also be used to inform drivers. The Maine Turnpike Authority appreciates motorists’ patience and understanding during this emergency work.
