Thank you for visiting our new Website.  Maine Turnpike Authority joined the World Wide Web in 1999 when it started a site devoted to the widening of the Turnpike.  The site was primarily used as a way to keep the public informed about the progress of one the largest construction projects in Maine's history.   After the widening project was completed in 2004, the website remained.  However, few changes to its structure have been made over the years.

Over the past year, Turnpike Authority staff have been working on the redevelopment of the site in order to make it more user-friendly, more functional and more informative.  We hope that you enjoy the look and feel of the new site and please feel free to give us feedback on what we can do to continue to improve it.
